Alexis woke up the next morning, buried in her comforter. She jumped up suddenly. All was quiet, she looked down at herself to see that she was still dressed from the day before and her eyes raced to the clock 8:43. Did she dream all that had happened with Harrison? How did she get in bed? A thousand more questions ran through her mind. Alexis got out of bed and slipped off her wrinkled skirt and blouse and put on her robe and headed down stairs.
He sat at the dining room table. He didnt look a bit out of place considering he was a powerful businessman who usually had bought up a city block, before breakfast. His worn jeans and a sweater complimented his body to perfection and he looked relaxed and content as if he were in his on home reading the daily news.
Alexis now stood in front of him.
Ah still not a morning person, he said looking up at her.
Alexis didnt even mumble she only stumbled her way to the table and sat down beside him pulling her knees close to her wrapping the length of her robe around her legs. Harrison sat down his paper across the table, standing up unexpectedly and Alexis watched him move past her into the kitchen. He came out seconds later with a steaming cup.

She smiled
Do you not have anyone to cook for you? Referring to the now infamous empty kitchen
She looked at him from her coffee not meaning to let out a grin but she couldnt help herself.
Pathetic isnt it?

Funny, she said sarcastically
Horrible, he said matching her wit
That too she said agreeing

No, thats no good at allLets go get one of those good ol American breakfasts
Alexis gave him another grin. She couldnt help herself. Harrisons greatest traits were that not only was he a brilliant businessman who guaranteed to at least try to be more hard-nosed than the next man, but he was also one of the sweetest and had a silly streak to say the least. How Alexis Davis ended up with him she would never know. The one thing she did know was that this was the second time in her life Harrison had been there just when she needed him the most.
A knock at the door

Alexis looked at Harrison as if she was stunned by the sound of the voice from the other side of the door
Are you going to get that?
Alexis closed her eyes as if she were collecting her thoughts and then stood up to walk to the door. She opened the door to see Sonny standing there.
Do you have a second?
Alexis actually took that second to think
Actually Im kinda busy
Oh well could I see you later? Sonny knew good and well there was a man there with her.
Um actually I uh am taking the day off
Alexis, are you ok?
Immm - great actually!
Letting a smile uncontrollably appear across her face and then closing the door behind her.
Nagging neighbor?

Outside the ones who look me over every time I get near the hallway

Alexis bit down on her lip looking up at Harrison

Yes she said making a hesitant face.

Ok ok! he said deciding to change the subject Go get dressed!
What no lectures on being the mobsters lawyer?

Alexis grabbed his chin and squeezed it as her way of saying thank you that finally someone was t being so judgmental in her life.
Um werent you getting dressed?
I didnt say I would go to breakfast with you
Before Alexis could say anything Harrison had thrown her over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes and was half way up the stairs.
Wow! Impatient! Alexis said as he let her feet touch the floor now standing in her bedroom.
You have 10 minutes, he said shutting her bedroom door behind him
Harrison charmed Alexis all through breakfast. She hadnt sincerely laughed like that in ages and they sat there for the longest time going through their past together. Just as Alexis let out a hardy laugh, Ned caught her eye as he walked through the door. Anyone who knew them could see the magnetism that pulled them just standing on the same planet together. Her face went blank and Harrison automatically knew it was him. The one she didnt want to talk about, the one she ran out on, the one that had taken a part of her with him.
Ned walked up to the table before Harrison could even turn around to see him.

Ned you could hear the slight strain in her throat
Harrison Blair as Harrison lifted his hand deciding to introduce himself knowing that any further coherent thoughts from Alexis were gone.
Everyone in the restaurant seemed to have now stopped talking as the silence came over bearing between the three.
The sound of his voice broke her fixation on Ned.
Ned Ashton Ned said shaking Harrisons hand
Harrison and Ned could both see Alexis become uncomfortable as she shifted herself in her chair.
Well um coffee. I came to get coffee, Ned said stumbling as he pointed towards the counter and started to walk that way.
Ned wouldnt have stumbled if he hadnt have been dead on in reading Alexis uneasiness. An uneasiness that said he might have just met the man that could be the one to take his place.
If youd like you can hide under the table until he leaves, he said leaning into her flushed face.
Harrison its not funny She said letting him know she was completely serious
Ned walked back by, coffee in hand. It was nice meeting you Knowing he had to say something. He really wanted to ask who was this guy and why did he make her laugh out loud the way he did?
You to Harrison said politely keeping his cool
Bye Alexis now looking down at her
Bye Ned now looking up at him, but trying to seem unfazed
Alexiss eyes followed Ned as he walked out the door
I could follow him and beat him up in an ally

Harrison looked into Alexis sad eyes and then rose from his chair. Her eyes followed him. He paid at the counter and Alexis was now watching the girl grin at the handsome man she was encountering.
Wanna go home? he said now reaching out his hand to her.
She let her hand fall into his. He had done everything just right in the short time that they had been together and she felt better than she had in months.
She opened the door to the penthouse to find Kristina in one of her yoga positions on the floor. Kristina opened one eye to see Alexis giving her a funny face. As Harrison was confused to even whom this girl was.
Where have you been I tried calling? Kristina shot at her

Kristina and Alexis gave out the same dissatisfying look as Harrison seemed to now go unnoticed. Then Alexis suddenly realized he was there.
Oh - Kristina this is Harrison Kristina stood up to shake his hand. Harrison she paused for a moment this is my sister, Kristina

Alexis sat on the couch waiting for Harrison to finish his conversation. By the change in his mood it obviously was some serious business.

Only for a few days until I can get this business taken care of
And then what you come back to Port Charles with me?
Yes, he said assuring her You know that I am a business man and that I strive on money and power and that there are few things that stand in my way. You also know you are one of the few things. You were back then and you still are and this is the best two days Ive had in well years
Alexis looked at Harrison and breathed in his sincerity. She couldnt help but agree. He had made the past two days bearable for her.
I would have to put things on hold?
Harrison let out a shy grin almost not believing she would actually go with him.
