Alexis was sitting on her couch in her penthouse going over some contracts that Sonny had sent over earlier. She had a big
meeting the next morning with Sonny and some coffee investors from his company. This was a huge meeting and a lot needed to
be accomplished but she wasnt really worried more just Alexis being her usual perfectionist self. There was knock
at the door Alexis? Its Sonny Im not here Well you know if you answer like that Ill probably figure out
your home Fine as she walked towards the door to let Sonny in what now Did I ever tell you that you are
my favorite lawyer? Feisty, but still my favorite! He said with his typical charming grin. Alexis looked at him with
a youre so full of crap look Ehh! Did you come over here to annoy me because you know every time you set foot inside
this penthouse your on the clock Hey, fine I see youre not into my loving company right now. I just came to see if
you were ready for the meeting tomorrow? Yes, Ive got it under control she said in a somewhat annoyed voice from
him even asking her that. He paused for a moment You know Alexis you were a much more enjoyable person when
you... Reading his mind What are you implying Sonny? Oh nothing Stop! Stop what?
Youre digging I dont dig Well for someone who doesnt you sure are doing a good job at it I
told you I get it, not your relationship with Ned, but II get you. Suddenly their trivial conversation turned serious.
Alexis stopped and looked at him shyly. She knew he did and she was ok with it. She needed Sonny like he needed her and
they both knew it. They didnt need to force it or talk about it over and over. In a strange way they were connected. They
were connected by the heart. Two hearts that had prepared itself to be courageous and scared, protective and lonely, strong
and smart. Sonny changing the subject Working all night isnt good for you You do it Alexis shot
back He couldnt really argue with her and he knew it was her way of getting through the night without Ned.
Sonny walked towards the door. As he walked out he looked back at Alexis as if he were checking her out. Oh yeah,
nice jammies Alexis took a pillow from the couch and threw it towards the door barely missing Sonny. He leaned back
in still grinning. Bye Alexis see you tomorrow! Alexis looked down at herself realizing she was wearing
her pajamas. She went and set back on the couch intending to read more contracts but Sonny had done it he had said his name.
Could she not get through one night? She thought about how much Ned would tell her he loved her in her pajamas. She wondered
what he was doing? She still had a picture of them of her mantle she had ignored taking it down. Actually it would seem she
hadnt acknowledged that he hadnt been there. He was still on speed dial, things he had given her were still lying around even
some of his clothes were still in her closet. Alexis decided she would head up stairs and she would try to read in
bed. Sonny was right anything to get Ned out of her head. Before she knew it she was buried under a pile of paper struggling
to keep her eyes open. ************************************************************************************** Warehouse
Offices the next morning Johnny, did you see Alexis this morning? Max said he saw her leave her penthouse
about an hour ago Its not like her to be late No sir Never mind Ill try calling her on her phone
will you keep look out for her? Sonny tried calling several times and the phone rang until her voice mail picked
up. 30 min passed by and Investors had come in one by one ready for business. Sonny apologized for the hold up and
he was now worried about were Alexis was. He tried her phone again and no answer. Johnny I have to go into this
meeting will you go try to find Alexis Johnny left and decided he would try the penthouse first he to couldnt imagine
where she was it really wasnt like her not to show up. Johnny was trying to hurry he knew how important it was to get her
back there but he found himself sitting in traffic. He figured something must have happened for traffic to be backed up like
this in Port Charles.
