Alexis stood in her jeans, her buttoned down collared shirt and her hair pulled up neatly. Still cleanly pressed and tucked in, this still was not the suited Alexis Davis that the police station was familiar with. Everyones eyes glared into her as she stood there with Mac. They all knew what had happened, as if they could now see through the lawyer exterior that made her so bold and now saw her as a mother that had almost lost her baby.

Everyone also knew that unlike all the others that had been victim to Helena Cassadine, Alexis Davis had a power that they didnt. Alexis would see to it that Helena would pay for what she did and that if she had anything to do with it she would never see the light of day again for everything she had ever done if thats what it took.

The keys to the jail cell rattled through Alexis head as she watched the guard fidget while she put the key through the hole. She hadnt stepped far enough to be in Helenas view so before she was to shell out every ounce of being that she had left. She closed her eyes and breathed in knowing that the unpracticed threat she was about to make was her one chance for Helena to believe that she should actually fear what Alexis may do to her.

Alexis walked up to Helena allowing herself to get into her face. The bars separated them but they stood so close that nothing would stop Helena from grabbing Alexis by the throat.

Helena lifted her brow at Alexis feisty words. Helena couldnt help but see the maddening look that came from Alexis face.

Alexis took enough time to study Helenas reaction and she walked away

Helena sat back down on the cot in the cell. Alexis so called petty threats were too real in that Helena knew herself the revenge a mother would take on someone if they had done something to her child. She played the role herself.

Alexis walked through the door of the house; her aura was different from when she had left the house that morning. Ned watched her as she went straight upstairs to the crib of her sleeping baby and he followed.

Ned was almost afraid to ask such a question fearing what her answer might be.

To have someone try to take away your child or should I say take away your child. She knows first hand now how capable I am of revenge on the person who tried to kill my child

Ned was now shocked at the willfulness of his wife. He knew that she was strong and that she had survived more than anyone should in their lifetime. He also knew Alexis had become famous for mouthing off to Helena but her scheming to make Helena fear her because of her own loss was scary but very ingenious.

Alexis now turning her attention from the conversation lifted her now awake little girl out of her crib. She stood there with her in her arms and pressed her against her chest letting Kaley know she was in her mothers arms.

Alexis looked up at Ned as he watched the bond that was irreplaceable between them. She grabbed Neds hand and led him into their bedroom. She handed Kaley to him as she tried to situate herself on the fluffy down comforter that look like snow surrounding her.
Kaley now started to fidget knowing that it was lunch time and Alexis held out her arms for Kaley and then motioned for him to join them on the bed.

Ned let out a deep breath as he looked down at his baby girl who had latched on to her mother. Alexis grinned at Ned. She could see that it seemed to bring him almost as much peace to him as it did to her, watching Kaley.

Alexis looked at Ned

I mean everything, everything that you go through, the love, the loss, the getting back together, and the wives, everything. It all comes down to me lying here with you with our baby

Ned its an insane world we live in and youre right when youve been through everything that we have to be happy, and weve fought all of the battles we can fight, then thankfully it does all comes down to me lying here with you and our baby. It just makes me want to create a million more everythings as long as its with you

Ned leaned his head back against the wall letting this bold move of Alexis sink in.

So let me get this straight. Im suppose to be boring ol Ned with boring ol Alexis and our boring ol babies for the rest of my life

Exactly! she said grinning then grabbing his chin to kiss him
